| JORDAN |
The AIR JORDAN series is NIKE's pride. NBA super star Micheal Jordan's signature model,
the first AIR JORDAN was introduced in 1985. Giving a signature model to
a rookie (Jordan had joined the NBA in 1984, playing for the 3rd-positioned
Chicago Bulls) created some kind of talk, but the shoes were not very successful
in the beginning. Their strong colors were considered offensive in a world where two-color models were
the norm. But breaking the NBA's color restrictions and continuing to do
so while paying the fine brought a strong marketing impact. The popularity
eventually reached the fashion world.
Numerous series have been created, and the AIR JORDAN is still one of the
most popular shoes in the world. |

| AIR-FORCE |
| The air bag was introduced in 1978 to absorb impact in the midsole. All
models equipped with it were subsequently called AIR. The first model using
this technology was the basketball shoe AIR FORCE, introduced in 1982.
More than 20 years after its introduction they are still popular amongst
professional players like the Detroit Piston's Rasheed Wallace. From the
mid-nineties the AIR FORCE also became popular in the street scene due
to its basic design, and uncountable color variations exist today. One
can call them NIKE'S Top of the Kick'z. |

| SB-SERIES |
The SB (Skate boarding) series was introduced in 2000. A former basketball
model, the DUNK was now introduced as the DUNK SB. The DUNK was a basketball
shoe introduced in 1985, but together with the AJ1, and because of its
thin sole, it got popular amongst skaters. So when the SB series came out
it could establish itself immediately. The changes to the DUNK created
a shoe that was adapted to the needs of a skater, with a tongue 3 times
thicker than usual and the ZOOM AIR support at the insole. One could say
the DUNK was reborn as a skating shoe. In the beginning, supply was limited
and the shoe only sold in skating shops, which led to a high demand
and increased prices. To further promote the SB, NIKE made collaborations
with skating brands and took riders under contract.
Subsequent models included E-QUE, URL, ANGUS, P-ROD and the FC CLASSIC
SB. To say that NIKE is the most active brand in the skating world today
is no exaggeration. |

| ADIDAS |
If you think about gum caps (shell toes), you will certainly think about the
ADIDAS SUPERSTAR model. Started in the 70s, the SUPERSTAR and PROMODEL did not have their
own cap and no trefoil mark on bellows and heel patch until 1973. It is no exaggeration
to say that this model represents the vintage thought. The pioneers of street fashion,
RUN DMC, were wearing their gold chains and Kangool hats together with Cazal sunglasses
and ADIDAS sneakers, especially the SUPERSTAR worn without shoelaces. This style
proved so popular with the kids that it even created a social phenomenon. The SUPERSTAR
and the PROMODEL with its many variants are still considered the 'Kings of Sneakers'. |

| KKOK (Knowledge King of Kickz), |
| The creative cooks of fresh and funky shoes. After some years of preparation the label started in 2003 with the opening of the BACKWOODS BOROUGH shop in Shibuya.
Influenced by the mid 80's to 90's mid-school, KKOK's concept is not to have one, and its creations are individual and unsophisticated in a good way.
The BREED model which marked the debut in 2003 enjoyed great popularity and still does, and numerous new models have come along since then.
KKOK models are unique and individual due to the designer's background, which is mostly in music. The 'Original Speaker Sole' had a strong impact in the scene, and to say that KKOK combined the concepts of 'shoe' and 'music' is not an exaggeration.
At the same time, numerous collaborations with artists and other brands stand in witness of KKOK's popularity throughout the scene. |
